Where It Began

Lantern & Veil is the natural evolution of Bayside Soapworks, founded in 2016 with a focus on small-batch, handcrafted bath and body products.

From the beginning, the goal was simple: create high-quality products with care, creativity, and attention to detail. Over the years, what started with soap expanded into candles, home fragrance, and personal care — but more importantly, it became a creative space to explore how scent connects to memory, place, and emotion.

As the product line and vision grew, so did the desire to build a brand that could fully express that deeper focus on fragrance and atmosphere. Lantern & Veil represents that next chapter — an evolution toward a more refined, immersive approach while staying true to the craftsmanship that started it all.

From the Founder

I’ve always believed scent is one of the most powerful ways to shape an experience. A fragrance can instantly transport you — to a coastal breeze, a quiet forest, a favorite hotel, or a familiar moment that feels like home.

What began as a hands-on creative outlet quickly became a passion for developing fragrances that feel layered, intentional, and personal. I still approach every product the same way I did in the early days — experimenting, refining, and paying attention to the smallest details.

Lantern & Veil is built on that same spirit of craftsmanship, just with a more elevated lens. It’s about creating products that don’t just smell beautiful, but feel like part of your everyday rituals.
