The opening pairs cinnamon and clove—warm spices that feel refined rather than kitchen-like—with a pop of bright citrus (bergamot and a hint of pineapple) that keeps them from reading as heavy. We spent considerable time tuning the spice ratio; too much clove and it reads costume-like, too little and it loses character.
